The name ecorune reflects our roots and our philosophy. Based in India and shaped by Nordic perspectives, ecorune was founded with a simple purpose: to help shape what matters for businesses, people, and the planet through informed decision making.
We value three things: transparency in what we do, accountability for the consequences of our actions, and a constant striving for excellence. Our purpose is simple: to contribute to a future where laughter and glaciers thrive.
Being based in India is deliberate. It keeps our costs honest and lets us offer the same rigour to a small business that a large enterprise would expect, without pricing anyone out of doing this work properly and letting us support organisations across every corner of the globe.
We believe transparency is fundamental to credible sustainability. Every assessment is shaped by available data, assumptions, and uncertainty. Rather than presenting numbers as absolute truths, we strive to clearly communicate what we know, what we estimate, where uncertainties exist, and what can be improved.
To us, this is not a weakness but accountability. By being transparent about methods, limitations, and assumptions, we help organizations make informed decisions and build trust in their sustainability journey.
Climate change is one of the most urgent challenges of our time, and that informed decision making is essential to addressing it. We also believe that sustainability expertise should be accessible to organizations of all sizes, regardless of budget or maturity. That’s why we focus on practical, proportionate solutions that help businesses start measuring impacts, meet requirements, and build momentum for meaningful change.
Most of what drives us is unglamorous: checking a data source twice, reading a standard closely, or asking a client one more question before writing a number down. We would rather be useful and precise than impressive, and we think that is what actually builds trust over time.
We bring together data, impacts, regulations, and ambitions to create clarity, direction, and meaningful action.
At ecorune, we help organizations navigate sustainability with confidence. From emissions and product footprints to reporting, compliance, and strategy, we transform complex requirements and ambitions into clear pathways for action, helping businesses grow while creating value for people, the planet, and long term success.
Our work is grounded in scientific evidence, technical expertise, and practical experience in sustainability and climate action. Above all, we believe meaningful progress comes from working together, growing together, and solving challenges together, one informed decision at a time.
Sustainability isn’t a service we added because it became popular. It is the discipline we have built our expertise around. Our background in sustainability assessment, climate science, communication and negotiation, ESG, and data science lets us understand the science behind the numbers, whether the work is a carbon inventory, a decarbonization strategy, or an ESG disclosure, not just the reporting frameworks built on top of them.
Sustainability is not a single fixed standard, it is a constantly evolving landscape of frameworks, methodologies, and disclosure requirements, many of them specific to a sector, a geography, or a client’s own ambitions. If you come to us with a framework we haven’t yet mastered, we treat that as our problem to solve, not yours. We will study it in depth, at our own cost, before we bring it to your table, so that what you receive is a confident, well founded recommendation.
We promise recommendations grounded in internationally recognised standards and practical business realities.
